On Roblox, Lancers can play and communicate with each other, as it is also a social platform that promotes interaction through a safe space.
Of all the many fun games available on the Roblox platform, the game Dress to Impress has recently become quite popular. This game offers many dress-up options and challenges players to create a stylish outfit in a certain amount of time. The game sparks a player’s creativity, as they can layer clothing to create new pieces and unique outfits.
Jasmine Arencibia (10) enjoys playing Dress to Impress. “My favorite Roblox game is Dress to Impress. I like it because you get to dress up according to a theme. There’s also Freeplay Mode, where players can just dress up as whatever they want to see if it looks good,” she said. Arencibia says she likes how Dress to Impress lets her explore different types of styles. The game is a fun way for Lancers to connect with their interests.
After many months of playing Dress to Impress on Roblox, many have become near experts in creating amazing outfits under pressure. “I cook on Dress to Impress,” Bryan Vega (10) said. “My top three Roblox games are The Mimic in number three, Dress to Impress in second, and my number one, of course, is Baddies,” he said. There is a great sense of shared love for the games played through the Roblox platform.
The Roblox platform is great for interacting and playing with friends. Users can play online and join friends on servers. Many teenagers prefer to play with friends, as it makes the Roblox experience more fun and exciting. “I play with all my friends, but depending on what games, the more friends, the better,” Vega said. Roblox servers are limited to a certain number of players, but by creating a new server, a user may invite many friends to join their game.
Roblox has been around since September 2006. For this reason, it’s no surprise that most teenagers know of and have played the online game. Many Lancers grew up playing Roblox. “I’ve been playing since a very young age,” Vega said.
“Since he was in the womb,” Arencibia added.
The Roblox game never truly disappeared from teens’ minds but has reegained its original popularity in recent years.
Robux is the currency used in the Roblox game. Users purchase Robux to buy clothing, game passes, and artifacts to use in the game. Over time, the cost of purchasing Robux can add up significantly. “I’ve probably spent more than $500 on Robux, and I will most likely spend more,” Vega said. This amount has built up over many years, yet it’s still incredible.
Considering that the Roblox app is also a social app that connects users to the world, there are definitely dangers that can come with it. Cyberbullying, predators, and the possibility of interacting with users who have harmful intentions are risks on any online platform, and Roblox tries to maintain a safe environment with tools such as the report button and banning users who break legal agreements or use alternate accounts.
