SUMMER! Summer!! Summer!!! It’s that time of year — school is almost done, and summer is near. Many Lancers are ready for the functions, late nights, and warm weather after putting away all their hoodies and bringing out the jorts, tanks, and those tiny tops to show off that belly piercing, for you girlies who got it in the winter. It’s time to get the perfect tan to show off at all the funcssss.
Summer brings out so many events and fun things to do, like concerts, fairs, picnics, hikes, froyo, and summer flings! There’s nothing better than having a special person for those perfect fair dates. If you do have that cute date for the fair, make sure to NOT VOMIT after getting on those high, thrilling rides. While others can’t help it and get locked in right before summer, those who don’t, don’t worry, it’s time to go out and live our best lives. The long-awaited summer is finally here!
Every Lancer has their own way of getting ready for the summer. Some start early and are already in vacation mode, while others think smarter and stay on the work grind to stay prepared. “This summer I’m going to be clocked in, eight-hour shifts, five days a week, off by 5 p.m. and outside by 8 p.m. I’ll be making plans with family and friends, and I’m NOT going to be the one stressed about money,” Daysi Martinez (11) said.
Alex Zequera (11) knows what needs to be done to set himself up for a great summer. “I’m getting good grades, so my parents let me go out all summer, and get a job to have money and be rich,” he said. Having your priorities straight will lead Lancers to have one of the best summers ever. “We’re gonna get lit every day and go off-roading. Ready to spend time with my friends and family in the whip,” Zequera said. With that kind of energy, Zequera is sure to make the most out of this summer break.
“I’m getting a six-pack right now and working hard to have a good summer. My goal for the summer is to get my own whip,” Israel Aguado (10) said. Summer is the perfect time to lock in and set goals for yourself, while having a great time. Maybe by the time next year comes around, Aguado will have some new wheels to take his specific girl out in. “I’m ready for the lake, beach days, and I want to go to another state for a little vacay. I want to spend my summer with my friends, family, and my girl,” Aguado said.
Natalia Vega (12), one of our seniors, is getting ready to leave high school and go party. “I’ve been going to the gym, trying to eat healthy, and I recently got a tattoo. I’m so ready for summer, ” Vega said. The body is, in fact, tea, btw. It’s not all about going out but also about who you spend your time with. “We always go on a family trip, I’m excited for that and to spend time with my cousins. I also really want to go to this music festival in California and many concerts like Pitbull,” Vega said. There are many things to look forward to this summer, Lancers can’t wait for it to come sooner!
