WE ALL think that a specific month is the best. Well, let me tell you why April is the best month of the year. April is the month when it starts getting warm, the sun’s bright, and tank tops and sandals come out. It is the month when flowers start to bloom, and we all get happier.
In April, our whole wardrobe changes, and we all wear more open clothing. Girls wear shorter sleeves or spaghetti straps, and both girls and boys wear jorts; some girls even go to school in sandals. All around Granger, the most common thing you see is girls and guys with jorts. Boys wear those long jorts that go all the way to their calves. You hardly see people wearing hoodies or thicker clothing in spring. You get to wear so many clothes during spring that you don’t get to wear during fall or winter. Now I know you girls and boys have gotten bugged out when you have to wear a hoodie over a nice outfit, and get annoyed that our jackets ruin it.
In April, every flower blooms, and who doesn’t love flowers and the grass being bright green on a warm day? In April, you get all types of flowers, but my all-time favorite flower blooms then. We get bright tulips everywhere. There are so many outdoor things you can start doing in April because the weather is just so perfect this month. Such as going on hikes, trail walks, picnics with your friends, and visiting parks. But my all-time favorite thing to do in April is go to a field of flowers and watch the sunset. The sunsets are so nice and warm in April that no other month could compare. I know many of you prefer a warm sunny day rather than a cold, grey day.
When I was younger, my family and I had a yearly tradition of doing fun things all of April because they knew it was my favorite month and my birthday month. So at the start of April, we would make a list of things we wanted to do. One of my favorite things to do was go on a hike with my family. We would take our German shepherd, look for a table, make sandwiches, and then hike all the way to the top. My April has been full of so many adventures and experiences. Another one of my favorites was going fishing with my younger brother and my dad. It was the funnest thing ever,s full of laughter. My dad would SCREAM when I would catch something.
April reminds me what it’s like to feel joy, to be filled with laughter, what family is about, and, most importantly, what being happy is all about. Every single one of my Aprils has been filled with gifts and love.
This is why April is the best month because it’s the month where things get brighter, our sun shines brighter, our outfits get better, and our adventures get crazier.
