Have you wondered how Granger High students survive spring break? At Granger, we have a lot on our plates. Although April should be an exciting month, for many Granger High School students, it’s also one of the most stressful. With exams, a backlog of homework, and the anticipation of spring break, the pressure can feel greater than ever.
“For me as a student, the last quarter is the most stressful and the most fun since we got tests, accumulated work, and the ACT. But it can be the best since we have summer coming up and the classes get less stressful in the last weeks of school,” Cesar Palencia (11) said.
“Honestly, I feel like teachers assign more work right before spring break. I try to stay on top of everything, but it gets overwhelming. At the same time, knowing that break is so close keeps me motivated,” Maria Unocc (11) said.
“Senior year makes it a little different. I’m dealing with finals and thinking about graduation, so it’s stressful, but also exciting. Spring break feels like a last chance to relax before everything ends,” Jose Landa (12) said.
“As a freshman, I didn’t expect the last quarter to be this busy. I’m still getting used to managing my time, especially with tests coming up. Spring break feels like something I really need to recharge,” Ashley Martinez (9) said.
“Balancing school and extracurriculars is the hardest part right now. We have games, practices, and then a lot of assignments. Spring break is a good reset, but getting there is the challenge,” Diego Ramirez (11) said.
“I get stressed with all the exams, but I also feel more confident now than at the beginning of the year. Spring break gives me something to look forward to after all the hard work,” Axel Villagra (10) said.
“Right before spring break, everything piles up. It’s stressful, but worth it once we finally get the break,” Sofia Gomez (11) said.
As spring break gets closer, Granger High students balance both stress and excitement. With tests, projects, and assignments piling up, it can feel overwhelming, but the thought of a break keeps students motivated. Many students push through by staying organized, managing their time, and supporting each other during this busy period. At the same time, spring break gives students a chance to rest, recharge, and come back with a fresh mindset. In the end, it’s not just time off, it’s a reward for all their hard work and a reminder that summer is right around the corner.
