FOR MOA Havili (12), playing football over the past three years has meant more than athletic competition. Driven by a desire to support and provide for his family, Havili approaches every practice and game with purpose.

“You have to want to be at a certain level and work to earn that level you are wanting to be at,” Havili said when describing the work ethic needed on the field.

Throughout his high school career, Havili says his biggest growth has come from learning to be a better teammate. Early on, learning to trust his teammates on every play was a challenge, but open communication helped build that foundation across the roster.

“What being a great teammate means is to care for the team and coaches, and to be supportive to each other,” Havili said.

Granger’s coaches see significant potential in Havili and view him as a positive role model with a promising future in football. His teammates rely on him to lead during critical game moments.

For Havili, the highlight of his season comes when that trust pays off on the field — especially when scoring a touchdown and celebrating alongside his teammates. Looking ahead, Havili aims to lead Granger through a strong season alongside his coaches and fellow seniors.
