AS SENIORS, you all know how hard it is to decide where to take your graduation photos. You know, the struggle of finding an outfit and getting ready is hard enough without worrying about whether the place you choose will match your clothes, not to mention the song you’ll choose to post the pictures to. But fear not. Here are some top recommendations for you guys to end your high school days and start moving towards your future.
At the top spots, we have Tribble Fork Lake in American Fork Canyon. There is a $10 fee to enter the canyon, so be prepared to bring cash because they don’t accept cards. This fee also covers parking. The very scenic view of mountains, forest, and a lake is extremely popular and family-friendly.
Next, we have Red Butte Garden. In May, this garden is in full spring bloom, making it a popular destination for pictures. There is a $10 entry fee, but photographers pay a $100 fee plus the $10 admission fee.
In third place, we have Canyonlands National Park. This is a very warm-toned, perfect-weather destination for many graduates, as its sunsets and sunrises are popular for their red and orange hues and the wide variety of rock formations. In fourth place, we have the Tintic Standard Reduction Mill. This mill is an abandoned historic site that shut down in 1925. Since then, it has accumulated a lot of graffiti and street art, if that’s your vibe. It is dangerous to visit because of high levels of arsenic and lead contamination, so be cautious if you choose to visit this place.
In fifth place, we have the Zion National Park. May is considered the perfect time to visit Zion for its spring greenery, ideal lighting, and scenic drives. For private vehicles, there is a $35 entry fee; payment is accepted by both credit and cash. Last but not least is the Night Lights Sky Lantern Festival in Tooele. Now, this festival is on May 29th and 30th this year, but don’t let the late date keep you from your dream pictures. In April, they’re having a discount, and tickets are $49.50, so buy your tickets while prices are low. The event starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. There are food and drink booths for you to buy from, as well as other fun things to do.
