With the holiday season comes a lot of gift giving and receiving. This Christmas, Lancers are giving some great gifts.
Philipe Urcino (12) and Shaid Agular (12) have been close friends since 5th grade, and every Christmas holiday, they still give presents to their loved ones.
This year, Urcino and Agular both decided they are going to get their little brothers PS5s for Christmas. They both know this present would bring their siblings a lot of joy and happiness, since it was a gift they had both been asking for all year.
Not all Granger Lancers focus on giving presents to their family only. Ivan Dirico (11) has a tradition with his mom: they look for charities across Utah, such as United Way of Utah County or Sub for Santa, and hatch a plan to help those who were not fortunate enough to receive gifts during the holiday season. This year, Dirico and his mother plan to do something a little different: donate to Angel Tree. Angel Trees can be found inside Walmart and they have tags with the names of kids and a list of presents the kids are asking for. It got really popular on social media this year, so a lot of people were helping these kids in need.
Now that he is working, Nathan Cordova (12) is excited to give his parents more special gifts this year. Almost every year, he gives his mom and dad the same Christmas presents, something small like candles, lotions, or clothing. However, this year he wanted to do something more special for them. He plans to buy them a smart TV for their room because they need more entertainment. Another reason is that he remembers when they gave him a TV, and he likes the idea of being able to give one back.
Students are going all out with presents this year, whether it’s a PS5, a TV, or even donating to a charity. This holiday season was definitely one to remember!
