EVERY school has that one athlete who seems to rise above the rest, and when it comes to volleyball at Granger, one player has caught everyone’s attention. Whether it’s her powerful serves, quick reflexes, or the way she brings the team together on and off the court, Sophia ‘Fia’ Wolfgramm (12) has set herself apart as a true standout.
Many things make a player great — the stats, the leadership, and the moments that leave the crowd on their feet.
Angelia Naeata (12) thinks Wolfgramm is the fastest varsity player on the team. “She is very flexible and doesn’t mind playing all positions on the court,” she said. “I think Fia is not only strong, but she’s definitely adaptable and capable. The most important thing is, she’s a team player,” Naeta said.
“She is one of the best varsity players on the team, who is recognized for skill and hustle. She never complains and always does what she can to improve. She’s extremely considerate of her teammates and always tries to put them in good positions,” Haylie Harper (12) said. “She’s also very honest and doesn’t hesitate to advise and help the team improve,” she said. “I think Fia is a good player because she has a really strong mentality. She never pouts or has an attitude even when our teammates mess up, and I think that’s the most important asset to have in a game, and she fits into it really well,” she said.
Most volleyball players agree that Wolfgramm is really nice and lights up the room. “Fia’s tough, and she makes everything look easy. She’s one of those players who just makes everyone around her better. You can tell when she’s on the court because she is always locked in and never backs down from any challenges,” Princess Mulavi (11) said.
So is Wolfgramm the best volleyball player at Granger? Her teammates seem to think so—and the evidence speaks for itself. One thing is certain: as long as she’s on the court, Granger volleyball has a player who makes every point, every game, and every season unforgettable.
