LANCERS have their favorite places to eat chicken, each with its own taste, price, and vibe. Some spots are known for crispy fried chicken, while others serve tasty grilled options. Prices range from cheap to more expensive, depending on the place. Everyone has their own preference based on flavor and what they’re in the mood for whether it’s a restaurant or homemade.
Some Lancers prefer well known places. Esteban Naranjo (10) says he likes Wingstop, “I’ll eat an entire boneless meal deal by myself,” Naranjo said. Another reason being their ranch: Naranjo says it’s very good and creamy. “I always get the original hot mixed with lemon pepper wings,” Naranjo said.
There’s those Lancers who prefer a light meal. Yudith Espinoza (10) says she likes Chick Fil-A, “It is an excellent option to eat — especially after an event or a game,” Espinoza said.
Other Lancers prefer homemade meals. Allyson Lopez (10) says she likes the Costco chicken. “I love Costco chicken, especially the ones that are pre-cooked so my mom can make her enchiladas or caldo de pollo,” Lopez said. She also mentioned that it’s not bought at home very often, but she still enjoys it.
Another example comes from Rosalyn Rivera Quintanilla (10), who says she prefers homemade chicken. “My mom usually grills it and cooks it with the perfect amount of seasoning,” Quintanilla said. “Yes, yes, yes! My mom grills it and cooks it with the perfect amount of seasoning. She also says she pairs her chicken with some homemade rice as well. Homemade food will always be great, especially when mom is the one cooking for you.”
Then there are places that aren’t available everywhere. Johann Juarez (10) says he prefers Pollo Campero as his favorite chicken place. “My favorite place to get chicken is Pollo Campero,” Juarez said. He explained a little about its origins and where it began.
“Pollo Campero is a fried chicken fast food chain that originated from the country of Guatemala in 1971,” Juarez said. He also mentioned that its chicken is juicy, flavorful, and crispy. “Since there aren’t many U.S. locations, I eat there whenever I can,” he said.
For some, the vibe is as important as the meal. Daniela Guzman (10) likes Buffalo Wild Wings. “My favorite chicken place is Buffalo Wild Wings. I just love the aesthetic of the restaurant, and the wings are really good,” Guzman said. She says that it’s a pretty calm and relaxed place to go to.
Another example of a place with an amazing ambiance comes from Jacquelin Lopez Urcino (10), who says she loves Dave’s Hot Chicken. “My favorite chicken place is Dave’s Hot Chicken because their chicken is fire,” Urcino said. She explained a little about their menu as well. “There’s different levels of seasoning/spice you can get on your chicken and each one is so good,” Urcino said. She definitely adores this place. “No place can compare to Dave’s, and if you haven’t tried it, then what are you doing?” Urcino said. It’s definitely time to try Dave’s Hot Chicken.
In the end, everyone has a go-to chicken spot, whether it’s for the bold flavors, the perfect crunch, or the memories that come with each bite. Each place has its own special touch, from secret seasonings to cooking techniques that make every choice unique. Whether it’s a family tradition, a quick meal with friends, or a solo treat after a long day, chicken has a way of bringing comfort and satisfaction. No matter where Lancers choose to dig in, the love for great chicken is something they all share.
