A classic show that gives everyone a good laugh is Modern Family, and Adamaris Solano (10) says that Modern Family is such a good series. Sometimes a Lancer needs a pick-me-up, and Modern Family can do just that. “I like Modern Family because it talks about family and how they choose to accept themselves as they get older,” Solano said. Not only does it give a good laugh, but it can also help with understanding and self-awareness.
Maria Moreno (11) says that Gossip Girl is a ten out of ten. Gossip Girl is full of drama and scandals. If that’s what sounds good, Moreno recommends it. “My favorite TV show is Gossip Girl because there is like one guy and he is really handsome, it is a binge-worthy TV show,” Moreno said. It is a show to watch when feeling bored because something scandalous happens in every episode.
Sometimes a show is just too good to put down. Mrs. Jensen says that she watched a whole season in two days.… That is quite an accomplishment! Cult classics may be the best route for some people. “I’ve binged Friends, New Girl, and Parks and Recreation,” Jensen said. All these shows are great when looking for comfort and an easy wind down.

All these things are great ways to connect with other students. Finding someone who shares interests makes it easy to feel connected.

However, there are some downsides to binge-watching, such as insomnia and depression. Anyone who feels themselves getting too addicted should know that it’s OK to take a break.
