THE “HEAR ME OUT CAKE” trend was an interesting way of announcing some unorthodox crushes on TikTok back in October. Originating from TikTok and speeding around the internet, this is where people would say who they liked. Some people would extoll characters from real-life actors, like Tom Holland or Billie Ellish, while others turned to fictional characters like LEGO Batman.

Granger is no different with their wild takes, starting with AJ Chezem (12). Chezem’s ‘Hear Me Out’ is the pink cow from the Garfield Movie, Ethel. She is one of the animals in the movie that was meant to be saved, more specifically by another cow that loved her. This leads to why Chezem likes the cow as she mentions her pink colors and her appearance, “They made her a very pretty cow,” Chezem said.

Chezem then added more to why she liked Ethel, adding to how she acted during the movie and how her relationship is with the other cow. She was then asked, what would you say to Ethel if she had the chance? “You’re a very beautiful cow,” Chezem said. 

Another person who was vocal about their interest is Issac Maestas (11). Maestas’s ‘hear me out’ is Rika, but more specifically when she is a cursed spirit from the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. The reason why he likes her is based on her appearance and characteristics. Rika’s appearance is a white-looking creature, similar to a symbiote which means that she is flexible in that form along with being slimy.

 But more importantly saying that if he had the chance to talk with her, he would say a couple of things. He says he’d start with “Trying to be mine?” then followed by not-so-school-appropriate things. When asked if he has tried asking on an AI app, he said no, but he has been practicing with Gojo or “My glorious blue eye king,” Maestas said. 

The next runner-up comes from Calvin Marshall (9). His ‘hear me out’ is Shadow the Hedgehog. Recently with the new Sonic Movie, Shadow has been showing up a bit more on the internet. This is where Marshall says that he started liking him, especially during the movie. Another reason was because “They gave the ultimate lifeform a gun,” Marshall said, which was interesting for a PG-13 movie and for his character. 

Although Marshall likes Shadow, he did mention that he likes other characters with a similar focus on guns. Such characters include Doom Guy and Master Chief, who are reliant on guns and rather strong. 

Lupe Cruz (9) has an interesting ‘hear me out,’ too. Her ‘hear me out’ was the wolf from Bad Guys, otherwise known as Sam Rockwell. The wolf is a rather charismatic character from the movie with a sweet side according to Cruz. Another factor was how well dressed he is, especially with the suit and sunglasses. 

 “Let him take me out,” Cruz said she would say to him. She then described how she would welcome him and treat him.
