BLOCK Blast is a popular puzzle game that has captured the attention of many students. It offers fun, bright colors and challenging levels. The game is easy to learn but mastering it can be quite difficult. With fun sounds and music, Block Blast is a popular choice of puzzle games. To achieve a high score with each move it’s best to keep the pink heart at the top of the screen beating, which indicates that you are successfully clearing away and matching blocks.
A fun fact about Block Blast is that it was released in 2022 but only became extremely popular in mid-to-late 2024. On average, forty million users play Block Blast daily. Another reason why Block Blast’s popularity is the variety of modes it offers. The most popular mode is classic, there is also an Adventure mode that has daily challenges, and an additional game mode that involves sliding the blocks left and right.
Yahir Campos (12) is a block blaster. “I’ve been playing for three months, and my highest score is 152,821,” she said. Achieving such a high score is not an easy task, almost unbelievable, but Campos is great at creating combos, clearing blocks, and using power-ups effectively.
Most people play Block Blast when they’re bored, but some Lancers played while offstage during Elf: The Musical. Michelle Piña (10) plays during her breaks. “My high score is 71,694, and I’ve only been playing for about a month. The most I played was backstage during Elf: The Musical; All the Excaliburs were obsessed with it back then,” Piña said. The Excaliburs played Block Blast off-stage for an entire week while getting their scores up.
Plenty of Lancers have been playing for months and still can’t get past one thousand, but one student at Granger has only been playing for a week and has a score of 50,000. “I would say that Block Blast is the greatest mobile game,” Neal Phan (11) said. Phan is obsessed with playing Block Blast. “I play while walking home and whenever I’m bored,” he said. Block Blast is a very convenient game that allows kids to play while on the move.
It can be hard to achieve a higher score than others, but with patience and determination, Lancers might do it. “My high score is 38,735, and it took me forever to get there,” said Jahzmyn Mailei (9). Mailei was surprised to find out that there were some Lancers with higher scores than hers. She also said, “I like Block Blast because it helps with organization.” This is something that some people may struggle with, but Block Blast can help improve it.
Block Blast mixes strategy and bright colors, which makes it fun. The game helps kids think critically and problem-solve, which is why it’s perfect to play, and more than just a pastime. Whether they play with friends or by themselves, clearing blocks and reaching new levels of Block Blast offers a fun adventure for everyone.
