CHRISTMAS and winter break are just around the corner! Many Lancers are crafting wish lists or simply looking forward to the joys of the season. Some students are eager to snag holiday deals, while others are focused on family and fun during the colder months.
Ivan Gomez (10) shared his excitement for the holiday season. “I am looking forward to spending time with my family, eating food, and chilling at home and stuff. On my wish list are accessories for my car, and I wish for my family to do good this year — not only my family but everyone else as well, and my girl to come back to my life,” he said.
Kenny Lozano (10) is ready for Christmas. “I am looking forward to spending time with my family and my friends. On my Wishlist is BO6, a PS5, and FC25,” he said.
Family was a key theme among the students. Junior Martinez (12) said, “What I’m looking forward to for the holiday season, specifically Christmas, is to spend time with my family. I don’t really have anything that I would like because I have already bought myself everything I wanted. I also have my own money, so if anything, I can just buy myself anything without my family having to gift it to me for Christmas. My family is more important to me than items gifted to me on Christmas because family is priceless.”
Echoing this sentiment, Fernando Mendoza (10) said, “I’m looking forward to Christmas. What I like most is having a good time with my family and friends, having lots of fun, and staying healthy. My wish list is that my broke friend finds a way to get some money.”
These reflections offer a heartfelt glimpse into how teens at Granger High view the holiday season. While their wish lists blend personal desires with humor, the emphasis remains on the importance of family and meaningful connections. For the Lancers, Christmas is as much about cherished moments as it is about gifts.
