It’s October, which means candy is back on everyone’s minds! Candy sales at the store, trick or treating, the lot. Here at Granger, it’s no exception. Ms. Green, an English teacher, uses candy in her classes as an incentive for participation. She says that each kid has their own motivations, some kids don’t care about grades, but they do care about candy. By throwing out candy for chipping in, it gets kids active in discussions. She doesn’t care why you participate, only that you do end up participating. As for what her favorite candy is, she says Lemonheads. If by chance you see Ms. Green while you’re out trick or treating, hand her some Reese’s cups and Almond Joys, “My kids hate those, so they always give them to me.”
