Have you heard some faculty at Granger have been parking in students spots? It’s one thing when a student steals your spot, but a teacher? It’s more common as the quarter goes on that you’ll see a teacher’s parking tag number not match the spot number they are parked in. Why are teachers and staff doing this? Could it be that their spots are being taken as well? It’s frustrating all around, once one person parks in the wrong spot it’s a chain reaction that messes everybody up. For example, Students like Luz, have had their spots taken more than once, “I felt betrayed, teachers complain about parking spots so much, but it happened more than two times by more than two different faculty members” Luz Matos (12) said. Students have taken it into their own hands to stop faculty members from stealing their spots by leaving notes on their cars, “ I left a note on their car expressing my feelings and how they should feel embarrassed as a faculty member stealing spots.” Matos said. What can the admin at Granger do to stop this from happening, students used to be able to report their spot being taken, but when it’s the people you report it to who are taking your spot, what can you do?
