SPRING break is here! This is prime time for having fun because after this, it’s a long stroll until summer break. There are many things that people do over spring break, some things are even applicable for any break in any season, all ranging in a variety of themes or activities.

Most Lancers seem to be doing the same thing over spring break, and any break for that matter. Lancers tend to take a step back and relax from all the schoolwork or other things that put stress onto their backs. This includes sleeping in, playing video games, going with friends to places to hang out, and maybe even catching up on some schoolwork.

But this is not the case for everyone. Everyone is different — all with different ideas on how they like to spend their time.

Some people are adrenaline junkies and love to go anywhere where they can receive an adventurous rush. Whenever they get any time away from the grasp of school, they prefer outdoorsy activities. Eisen Tima (9) says that he is going to go to Lagoon over spring break. He already received tickets for him and some of his cousins. “It will be a fun way to spend time with my cousins and a good way to pass a little time over the break,” he said.

This is just one idea, though. Lancers don’t have to go to amusement parks to have fun. There are many other ways to have a good time over the break.

Another Lancer, Jose Martinez (9), is going to do a bit of traveling while also still experiencing that same adrenaline rush. He is going to California to spend some time with his family and have a little fun riding a dirt bike. “I’m going to go to California over spring break with my family and maybe even ride dirt bikes with my cousins and siblings,” he said.

Traveling usually helps someone bond with other people and spend quality time with them during a trip. It adds in a little excitement, and they create an amazing set of memories.

These are just a few ideas and are not the only things to do over spring break. Sometimes it is nice to go back to the basics and simply enjoy the time that’s spent with family or friends.

It’s a good idea to balance the time you get with multiple things, like what time is set aside for fun and what time there is for family. Both Tima and Martinez do a good job balancing the time they get with multiple things, and if they followed their plans, they must have had a great time during spring break.
