Review by Tania Hernandez
HEY LANCERS, the Twilight series of films has been re-released all over Utah’s movie theaters starting on January 17. Each film had a different release date to watch each film individually, starting with the first movie Twilight, which started on January 17-23, New Moon on January 24-30, Eclipse on January 31-February 6, and Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2 on February 6-13.
The all-day marathon began on January 18 at 8 a.m. and ended at 6:30 p.m. They would give breaks in between each movie. I’ve seen many people say they loved doing the marathon and would do it again. Also, it’s an amazing experience and a good activity to do.
The marathon tickets started at $69 to watch all five movies, which included a package meal, which I genuinely think was a perfect cheap deal and a very fun activity to do with friends or partners. Each movie ticket was only $5, which I think is incredibly cheap and a good deal.
It has been 16 years since Twilight premiered all over the United States in movie theaters. There have been rumors that a Twilight 6 might come out, and there have also been so-called trailers for it. I personally don’t think they will come out with a 6th movie after 13 years, and there is no confirmation of a 6th movie release.
There have been a lot of rumors, and I genuinely think it’s people making AI Twilight trailers to get people’s hopes up, knowing there isn’t actually going to be a 6th movie. I do think it would break the internet if they came out with a 6th movie after the last movie, which was released in 2012. I have watched all the Twilight movies since I was young and loved every single one of them.
People may say the editing of each movie is horribly done, which is true, but something about the movies is just so cinematic and magnificent on every level. There were a lot of plot twists, which I think enhanced the movie. I believe that Bella expressed her feelings in the most effortless way possible for Edward, and it was such a well-worded and well-said emotion.
I feel like many people have gone through the same feelings that Bella had. She knew she couldn’t be with Edward, and that she sacrificed so much just to be with someone she loved, which just made the whole part of the movies really good since it’s relatable to many people’s lives and what they have gone through.
I loved every movie from Twilight and went to go watch the first movie (Twilight) and Breaking Dawn Part 2, Breaking Dawn Part 2 is my absolute favorite movie out of all the five movies. It was amazing. I love the ending where it leaves off in a field filled with flowers and the sun shining in the middle of Bella and Edward. I’m not entirely sure why I love that scene so much, but it just brings me this happiness and sadness.
Something about that scene reminds me of something that I’m not entirely sure of, which never fails to make me feel something. Overall, I had a good experience watching Twilight in the movie theater, which was very fun, and I would definitely recommend you try it out.
Although I have already watched all the Twilight movies multiple times, I have always wanted to watch them in theaters. Overall, I think watching movies in theaters is better to get the full experience.
