COACHELLA might be one of the best music and art festivals of the year. Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival takes place in Indio, California for two weekends. The first weekend starts on Friday, April 12th to Sunday, April 14, and the second weekend will be on Friday, April 19 to Sunday, April 21st.
Coachella allows people to show their creativity through wardrobe, makeup, and hair. People get to enjoy their amazing performances, spectacular rides, and unique art installations.
Coachella invites multiple artists every year to perform their greatest hits and even a few of their new music. They have performances of all genres and multiple stages for people to visit throughout the day.
There are seven stages that everyone can choose to go to throughout the day. They have the Main Stage, Outdoor Theater, Mojave, Sahara, Gobi, Yuma, and Sonora. There’s also a private stage that many can get into if they pay extra. The private stage is called the Quasar, where DJs, Diplo, Rüfüs Du Sol, Adam Ten, Mita Gami, Eric Prydz, Anyma, Blond:ish, and Mau P. perform for a longer period.
The festival gives a variety of pass options for people to choose from. There is the general admission where people can have the choice to pay a little extra for a shuttle. They have VIPs, allowing people to visit GA camping areas and VIP areas, car camping or preferred car camping, tent camping that would be convenient for travelers or people without a car, and they also have camping bundles which are super expensive but do include a lot.
Some of the camping bundles provide a lodge, which is up to 2-4 passes. Their tents are in a nicer area, a resort, and some might even include golf cart transportation.
At Coachella, they had headliners like Lana Del Rey, Tyler the Creator, and Doja Cat. Many people were eager to see them.
Coachella was full of iconic and memorable performances in 2024.
On Friday, Billie Eilish took on a dessert. She had her own DJ set at Coachella. She invited multiple friends onto the stage to vibe while teasing her new album, which will be coming out soon.
It is called, ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft.’ That same weekend, headliner Lana Del Rey brought out Eilish to the stage where they performed “Ocean Eyes” and “Video Games.”
The fans LOVED the duet.
On Saturday, No Doubt performed their iconic song ‘I’m just a girl.’ Gwen Steffani was aware of how popular and relevant her song was on social media, so she tried redoing her iconic performance from the 90’s.
It was amazing. In her iconic performance, which was from the 90s, she called out ONLY the boys and told them to sing the words, “I’m just a girl,” then they continued to repeat it and she said “gotcha” as she laughed. At Coachella, you can hear all the boys repeating the same thing and it made the performance bittersweet. People were reliving a moment experienced years ago.
Tyler the Creator, headliner for Saturday, was incredible. His introduction had many laughs. He created a funny skit in an RV where he exploded out of the RV and started performing. He brought out artists A$AP Rocky, Charlie Wilson, Kali Uchis, and Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino.
Back in 2011. he tweeted that he would be headlining for Coachella, and he completely crushed it. Tyler made it his goal to make it one of the best shows and he succeeded.
On Sunday, the reggaeton star, J. Balvin, brought out the icon Will Smith to perform Men in Black. It was such a random duo, yet very entertaining and cool to see the actor/rapper performing and recreating his dance moves from back then.
The amazing singer Tems had a surprise guest for everyone.
She brought out the iconic Justin Bieber. Many couldn’t believe Justin Bieber was performing because people doubted that he would perform at Coachella. He has been more laid back with performances and hasn’t made many surprise appearances with other artists.
Coachella’s 2024 lineup might be one of the best lineups in history. People who were not able to attend enjoyed the livestream from home while others were at Coachella enjoying the amazing performances.
